Development
Our Development team makes ideas happen. Whether it is building our websites and microsites or turning the work of the R&D team into reality, Development sees our technical projects through to fruition.
R&D
We work in a fast-moving industry. In addition to helping us stay on top of developments in the market place, our R&D team generates change in the market place by developing ideas and researching innovation.
Apprentice Scheme
We support the development of our people at all levels. Our Apprentice Scheme gives us the opportunity to train junior technical staff on the job, providing them with the workplace and technical skills they need to succeed in a satisfying career.

Facilities / Front of House
Facilities
Our Facilities Management team keeps us operating smoothly from Minerva House. In addition to making sure we are warm in the winter, cool in the summer and have our comfort catered for in an excellent environment, they coordinate our workspace, infrastructure and organisation.
Front of House
Our Front of House team are our ‘shop window’. Our receptionists, in particular, are often the first contact our visitors have with Nominet and they set the tone for how we are perceived by others.
Finance
Our Finance Department oversees all of the financial transactions undertaken by Nominet and has responsibility for our Business Development and Business Analysis functions. Although we are a not-for-profit company, we still need to make money to support our work and help us meet our vision.
Business Development
We work in a fast-moving industry and recognise that we need to find Business Development opportunities where appropriate to retain our position as one of the world’s leading domain registries. Our Business Development department seeks out and grows these opportunities as they arise.
Legal and Policy
Legal
Our Legal team has a solid, cross-jurisdictional understanding of the domain business. They provide support to our DRS and Policy teams and aggressively pursue redress through the courts in any instance where our systems have been breached or policies abused.
DRS
Our Dispute Resolution Service team helps people and organisations resolve domain name disputes through mediation. They also manage a team of experts who are on hand to provide an expert decision where requested.
Policy
Our Policy department is broadly divided into two teams: UK policy and international policy. Our UK team devises and oversees the rules which govern .uk and our International team works in a broader forum, discussing and negotiating issues concerning global internet governance with other national and international bodies.
Marketing and Communications
Marketing
Our Marketing department raises the profile of Nominet and sells the brands associated with it, such as .uk. Overseeing the Events and Communications teams to create a cohesive voice across multiple media, the Marketing department is responsible for defining our position in the global internet industry.
Events
Our Events team coordinates everything from our AGM to annual registrar conferences and regular registrar briefings. They ensure the events are ‘fit for purpose’ and excite our members with interesting speakers, thought provoking agendas and excellent venues.
Communications
Our Communications team works closely with our Marketing and Events teams to ensure all of our stakeholders are fully informed of all aspects of our business.
HR
Our award-winning HR department knows that people who love their jobs and are stimulated by their work do the best work. The department works hard to ensure the right people are in the right posts, and are both suitably challenged and rewarded.
