Use this command to move a domain name to give another registrar control of the domain name.  If you control multiple tags, this command can also move a domain name between your tags.

Releasing a domain name

  1. In the domains section on the start page, click Go. This will load the domain list.
  2. In the domain list, select the domain name(s) you wish to release and click Release.
    (If you click Release without selecting any domain names, a text box appears in which you can enter a line-delimited custom list of domain names to release.)
  3. Enter the tag you would like move the domain name(s) onto and click Continue >.
  4. Verify that the details of the release are correct, then click Release Domains to release the domain name(s) to the chosen tag.

Additional

  • If the new tag requires a handshake before accepting the domain name, then you will be sent a notification.  You will be informed of the success or failure of the release by notification.
  • A release cannot be undone.
