The
create operation is used to register a new domain name. There are two different ways to create new domains using the Web Domain Manager:
The following guidelines apply to all
create operations:
- Requesting a domain that already exists will count towards the limit set for abuse detection. Full details of the limits and how they affect you are given in our acceptable use policy.
Create domain
- On the start page, click List Domains. This will load the domain list.
- Click Create Domain.
(If you want to add the new domain to a pre-existing account, select a domain associated with the pre-existing account in the list before you click Create Domain.) - Enter the account details for the domain you wish to register and click Continue >.
- Enter the domain you wish to register and click Continue >.
- If desired, enter nameserver information for the domain and click Continue >.
(If you don't enter a nameserver, the domain cannot resolve until a nameserver is provided.) - Verify that the details for the domain registration are correct, then click Create Domain to register the domain.
Create domian from an existing account
- On the start page, click List Accounts. This will load the account list.
- In the account list, select the account you wish to add a domain to and click Create Domain.
- Enter the domain you wish to register and click Continue >.
- If desired, enter nameserver information for the domain and click Continue >.
(If you don't enter a nameserver, the domain cannot resolve until a nameserver is provided.) - Verify that the details for the domain registration are correct, then click Create Domain to register the domain.
