Use this command to cancel a domain name registered in error. There are strict rules on how this command may be used and these are outlined in our
acceptable use policy.
Acceptable Use Limit: You will be blocked from this command if you attempt to delete more than 5% of your current registrations. For full details, please read our
acceptable use policy.
Deleting a domain name
- In the domains section on the start page, click Go. This will load the domain list.
- In the domain list, select the domain name(s) you wish to delete and click Delete.
(If you click Delete without selecting any domain names, a text box appears in which you can enter a line-delimited custom list of domain names to delete.) - Verify that the details of the delete are correct, then click Delete Domains to delete the domain name(s).
Additional
- A domain name cannot be deleted if:
- we have received payment for the domain name.
- a tag change initiated by the registrant is currently in process.
- the domain name has been released or transferred.
- If an invoice has been generated for a domain name but has not been paid, the domain name can still be deleted. However, you will have to pay the invoice in full.
