Description
Extensible Provision Protocol (EPP) is an alternative way of registering and maintaining domain names. It is only be available to registrars and is provided in addition to the Automaton. More details are available on the introduction page and the FAQ.

Documents
The documents that you need to read in order to understand our implementation of EPP are below, however please note the EPP mapping document is not current and please refer instead to our Command Overview page.

  • EPP mapping.  This document is our explanation of how we have implemented EPP, what objects and commands we support and what custom extensions we have made. [Download PDF].
  • Schemas.  These are the XML Schema files that describe the base EPP specification and our custom extensions.  They are described in more details on the Schema page and are also available for download from there.

EPP support

EPP was launched on 4 February 2008. This group will, in the short term, continue to provide dedicated support to EPP users. At a later date the group will be closed and EPP queries and comments should be routed through our nom-tech discussion list.
