The <domain:check> command is used to determine if an object can be provisioned within a registry and provides a hint to determine if a <create> command would be successful. The <check> command only applies to domains and cannot be processed for other accounts, contacts or nameserver objects

Domains

<domain:check> element

The <domain:check> element contains the following child elements:

• One or more <domain:name> elements giving the domain names to be queried.

Usage

The <domain:check> command is subject to the Acceptable Use Policy. This applies only to checks on domain names that already registered to other tags. Checks on domain names that are not registered or on your tag are unlimited. A check for multiple domains in one request will only succeed if the registrar is sufficiently below their abuse limit to guarantee completing the whole request.

1. The "abuse-limit" attribute gives the remaining number of checks/creates on existing domain names in the current rolling 24 hour period.
