- Open PGP Desktop.
- Click on the File menu and select New PGP Key...
- Click Next.
- Enter your tag name in upper case in the Full Name: field and click on Advanced:

- Deselect all allowed hashes except SHA-1 and click OK:
Step 5: Advanced key settings
- Click Next:
- A warning will appear advising you to enter an email address. The email address field must be left blank. Click Yes.

- Enter a passphrase to use when you PGP sign a message. After entering and confirming your passphrase, click Next:
Step 8: Entering a passphrase
- Click Skip. Note: You may set up security questions to allow password recovery at a later time.
- Click Next.
- Click Skip.
Congratulations! You have created a PGP key for use with the Automaton. Next you will need to add your PGP key to the Automaton's keyring.
