You can use the
merge operation to add multiple domain names to the same account. Domain names on the same account benefit by sharing a single set of contacts and addresses, allowing a single update to affect all of the domain names.
When you use the
merge operation, be aware of the following:
- This operation will be rejected if the 'account-name' of the domain names you wish to merge are different. Minor variations may be allowed.
How to merge a domain name on to an account:
- Create a new email message to applications@nic.uk
- Use the subject TAG Merge (replace TAG with your tag name in capital letters).
- Paste the following template into your email message:
operation: merge
account-id:
key:
Notes:
- It is mandatory to include values for all the fields in this template. For more information on template fields, see field definitions.
- 'account-id:' is used to specify the account to be used for all of the merged domain names.
- To merge more than one domain name onto an account, you can repeat the 'key:' field up to 100 times.
- PGP sign the message and send the email.
You will receive
confirmation from the Automaton if the operation is successful.
You will receive an
error from the Automaton if the operation is unsuccessful. For help identifying and resolving an unsuccessful operation, see the
error messages page.
