Implementation plan
We have launched the reseller data programme in three phases:
- Beta release
Full details about how reseller data will be used is available.
Phase 1: 9 March 2010
- Beta release
- Submitting reseller information
The first phase has allowed registrars to submit data about the resellers that they use. Reseller data can be added to your registrar account using online service either individually or by bulk file upload. Documentation relating to managing reseller information in the online service is available.
- Linking resellers to domain names
Once you have submitted your reseller information you can link existing domain names to resellers using the modify command. You can also associate new registrations with a reseller using additional fields in the create command.
Documentation for manipulating the reseller information associated with domain names is provided.
Phase 2: 11 May 2010
- Publishing reseller data
On 11 May we have started to use reseller information in all of our communications with registrants. This includes:
- Welcome email
- Renewal reminders
- WHOIS
- Keepyour
- Registrant's online service account
Phase 3: 6 July 2010
- EPP reseller commands
