When a domain name has reached its expiry date we will issue a renewal reminder by email to the registrant if we have not received a renewal request.
The email will remind the registrant that the domain name is due for renewal and advise them to contact their registrar to renew the domain name.
Here is an example of a renewal reminder:

[DATE]
Dear Registrant
[DOMAIN NAME]
The domain name above was due for renewal on [EXPIRY DATE]. We are contacting you now because the domain name has not been renewed by your registrar:
[NAME OF REGISTRAR]
[URL OF REGISTRAR]
If you wish to retain this domain name, please contact your registrar using the details above. They will then renew the domain name with Nominet on your behalf.
IF YOU DO NOT REQUIRE THIS DOMAIN NAME SIMPLY IGNORE THIS REMINDER.
If no further action is taken by your registrar, we will send you a pro forma invoice in 7 days.
