If a domain name is registered to a deceased individual you will need to arrange for the domain name to be transferred to another party.  You can do this by completing a 'Registrant transfer' via the Nominet online account. You can log in at www.nominet.org.uk/go/login and then select the 'your domains' option followed by the 'registrant transfer' option. Please note there is an administration fee of £10 + VAT for this service.

If you do not have access to the nominet account, please send us a signed letter from the executor of the deceased's estate along with a copy of the death certificate. The letter must confirm the domain name and also the new administrative contact name and email address for the domain name. You can send this to us by email to , by fax to 01865 332244 or by post to Minerva House, Edmund Halley Road, Oxford Science Park, Oxford, OX4 4DQ, England.

Once this administration contact has been changed, you will be able to access your online account and make the transfer.
