If you no longer need your domain name you have two options.

You can ask your registrar to mark your domain name as "renewal not required".  Domain names marked as not required will go through the normal period of suspension and will be cancelled 90 days after the expiry date, however, you will not receive any renewal reminders from us about the domain name.
  • Rather than immediately cancelling, 'renew-not-required' domain names will be suspended and cancelled in the normal way.
  • The 'renew-not-required' flag prevents any renewal reminders being sent.
  • A single notification email will be sent to advise you that the 'renew-not-required' instruction has been received.
  • If you change your mind you can still ask your registrar to renew the domain name. A renewal request will override the not required status.
  • If you change registrars, the 'renew-not-required' flag is cleared.

Alternatively you can cancel the domain name with immediate effect. To cancel a domain name immediately you need to log into your online service account and cancel the domain name. No refunds are given for the remainder of the registration period.
