Why can I not cancel my domain?

If your domain is newly registered you may not be able to cancel it at this stage. Domain names can only be cancelled directly with us once they have been paid for. Although you may have paid your registrar for the domain name on registration, as part of their credit terms with us the domain name may not yet have been invoiced by us, and paid for by the registrar. This policy is to prevent an abusive practice known as domain tasting. You should contact your registrar to cancel the domain name.

Will the domain name be cancelled immediately?

The domain name will be scheduled for cancellation, and removed from the register at any point within a 24-hour period. Once the domain name is cancelled it will be available to register on a first come, first served basis.

Will my website and emails still work?

All services associated with the domain name will stop. This includes websites and e-mail.

If I cancel my domain name with you, do I have to do anything else?

If you registered your domain name through a registrar, we would advise you to also contact them directly to cancel any services you may have directly with them.
