Please note that this process should not be used to change your registrar or to transfer your domain name to another registrant. If you no longer want your .uk domain name you can cancel the registration. Once a .uk domain name is cancelled it will be available to be re-registered on a first-come, first-served basis.
You should not use the cancellation process if you intend to try to re-register the domain name with another registrar. This should be done through a
change registrar process.
Also if you need to transfer the domain name to somebody else, you should use the
registrant transfer process.
Once scheduled for cancellation the domain name will be removed from the register on the day of cancellation at some point before midnight. At this point the domain name will be available for anyone to register. Often domain names that are cancelled are re-registered very quickly.
You should only cancel a domain name if you are sure that you no longer need it. You can cancel your .uk domain using
online services. If you know you account details you can
log in to your account.
