We are currently calling for nominations for the election of four candidates to the Policy Advisory Body (PAB) of Nominet, from May 2009 for two years.
This involves a high level of personal and professional commitment: candidates must be willing to attend half-day PAB meetings which occur once every two months in central London, actively participate in working groups and members' meetings and contribute to Nominet email discussion groups.
If you want to stand for the PAB you must email the following to
elections@nominet.org.uk:
- Be proposed and seconded by a member of Nominet (the proposer and seconder cannot be the same member)
- Confirm by email your willingness to stand for the PAB
- Send us a written electoral statement (not exceeding 500 words)
- Send us a written CV (not exceeding 500 words)
PAB members are also subject to a
Code of Conduct, and are required to
declare any interests that might affect the carrying out of their duties as part of the PAB. These are personal or business interests that might influence their judgment, deliberation or action as members of the PAB, or which might be perceived by a reasonable member of the public as doing so. If you wish to complete this form as a part of your standing for election and would like us to publish this information, then please let us know.
Candidates are elected as individuals. This means they need not be Nominet members, or employees of members, themselves. All candidate applications must be submitted to us by email to be received by 17.00 hours on 17 February 2009. These should be sent to elections@nominet.org.uk.
A candidate's application will not be accepted unless Nominet has received ALL of the following information:
- Email from the proposer
- Email from a seconder
- A willingness to stand email from the candidate themselves
- Election statement (not exceeding 500 words)
- CV (not exceeding 500 words)
by 17.00 hours on 17 February 2009.

full details of the forthcoming election are available.
