Policy Development with a Public Consultation

This is the policy development process used where there will be a public consultation. Generally, it is hoped that this will take no more than 6-7 months.

In this policy flow, the consultation (which is always operated by Nominet) lasts three months and is released approximately simultaneously to the PAB and public. The consultation is then summarised by Nominet and a decision taken by the Nominet Board, which is fed back to the PAB for information. The Board does not need further approval from the PAB.
