Today we have deployed an upgrade to online services to add new functions and improve services to registrars and registrants.
Web domain manager is a browser based interface for the registration and management of domain names. The system has been designed to complement our existing registrar tools: EPP and the automaton.
Registrars can access the new system through their online services account, in the "Registrar" section. Providing an additional way to access our systems, web domain manager is specifically targeted at registrars with a lower volume of activity.
Web domain manager enables registrars to quickly and easily make low volume registrations, data amendments or requests. These types of requests previously had to be constructed as automaton messages and were often time consuming. Web domain manager provides an easy, user friendly web based interface to the registry data on your account or tag.
More information about
web domain manager is available.
Registrant transfer is the process used to transfer a domain name registration between parties. In order to transfer a domain name and change the legal registrant, we must be satisfied that both parties agree to the transfer and agree to our terms and conditions.
The old system relied on the completion of transfer forms and copies of suitable identification. The new system is based entirely online and can generally be completed in a matter of minutes.
Registrant transfer will be available in the online services account associated with the domain name. Where multiple domain names have been merged into a single account, you can choose options to allow individual or bulk transfers.
Registrant transfers cost £10 plus VAT; a qualifying bulk transfer will also be charged at £10 plus VAT. Full details about
transfers are available.
Web forum: Following member consultation we are launching a new web-based forum replacement for nom-steer. The forum is currently being tested, however we have introduced the forum sign-up process to online services. You do not need to sign up for the forum yet, but we have provided the functionality in online services in preparation for the forum launch in July. We will announce full details of the sign-up process and transition plan on both nom-announce and nom-steer in due course.
