Anyone with an interest in the Internet may become a member of Nominet by completing an application form and by paying a one-off joining fee of £400 (plus VAT).  There is also an annual subscription charge of £100 (plus VAT) to retain your membership.  Please be aware that your membership application will be withdrawn after three months if we do not receive your joining fee.

Our membership year runs from 1 August to 31 July, and if you join after 1 February you are entitled to a 50% reduction in the annual subscription charge element (for the year of joining only) to £50 (plus VAT).

As an existing member we invoice you for your annual subscription (£100 plus VAT) at the beginning of each membership year (1 August).

As a member of Nominet you can contribute to the running of the company by:

• exercising voting rights at Annual General Meetings, either by attending in person or by proxy
• electing non-executive directors to the Nominet Board
• electing members to the Policy Advisory Body (PAB), who have a direct input into policy formulation by harnessing the voice of the members and making recommendations to the Nominet Board
• participating in a number of online discussion groups to share views and ideas on how Nominet should operate and discuss related issues.
