Today's system release has now been completed.

The release includes new and enhanced functionality to BI systems. Full documentation is available in the December release notes.

All systems are now running as normal and email requests to the automaton that had been queued have now been processed.
 
Our next planned maintenance is scheduled for Thursday 12 January 2012 and the advance January release notes are now available. We will confirm the time and date of this release seven days in advance.

At 07:00 (GMT) on Tuesday 6 December 2011 we will have a systems outage lasting about one hour when we will be deploying a software upgrade. During this time Online Services, Business Intelligence and all registration systems will be unavailable. The Automaton will not process email requests, but they will be received and queued for processing when it restarts.

All other Nominet systems will continue to work as normal during this period. This release will see new BI functionality being launched including several enhancements to renewal forecasting and an enhanced renewal rate forecast model that takes into account the change in "age-of-domain" profile. In addition there will be enhanced BI functionality to allow registrars to download an entire report in pdf format, or subscribe to have a report emailed to them periodically.

At 06:00 (BST) on Thursday 13 October 2011 there will be a systems outage lasting 2 hours when we will deploy a software upgrade. During this time Online Services, EPP and ENUM registration systems will be unavailable. The automaton will not process email requests, but they will be received and queued for processing when it restarts.

All other Nominet systems will continue to work as normal during this period.

In this release we will launch a simpler log-in process to Online Services. All customers will log in through a single log-in page using their email address and password.

We will also be making some changes to our data structure to align more closely to the EPP standard data structure:

• Registrant data will be split from other account data which will change the data structure for registrants to match that of the domain schema for the EPP RFCs.
• The number of registrant contact email addresses will reduce from three to one on each registrant contact.
