DRS Expert Patricia Jones

Patricia is a partner in Hammonds Commercial & IP practice based in the Manchester office.  Patricia's particular expertise covers contentious and non-contentious intellectual property, involving patents, trade marks and all other aspects of IP.  Solicitor Advocate, conducts own advocacy.  She regularly advises clients on strategies for developing and exploiting intellectual property rights, with a particular emphasis on cost effective combinations of intellectual property rights.

Recent experience includes:

  • Successfully acting for Ultraframe Plc in the Court of Appeal against Eurocell in a patent and design right matter concerning conservatory roofs.
  • Acting for Associated Octel on several patent revocation actions in the UK and in associated EPO actions.
  • Acting on an IP licensing dispute, which included related entitlement proceedings.
  • Acting for Gencor Plc in the UK High Court in a successful patent revocation action in which indemnity costs were awarded.
  • Acting on patent revocations actions in the UK.
  • Trade mark, domain name and design right disputes, including advertising clearance work.
  • Trade Mark and IP licensing, co-operation and partnering agreements.
  • Strategic IP Advice.
